Part 3: the first meeting

Future swapper in her kitchen.

The first meeting was definitely our most dramatic.  It was December, so life is already crazy with the anticipation of Christmas, but add in  changing plans, last minute guests, travel and then an exchange..now that's interesting!

After finding a few moms who seemed really keen, I thought the process was done. I was very wrong!
With just 4 meals to make, I had to find at least 5 people to get involved so with every cancellation I had to find a replacement or our hard work at cooking in bulk would not be rewarded.
The debate about "what the make" was another challenge.  It helped that we posted our ideas when they were solidified so that we could all get inspiration from one another and of course, so that we didn't make the same thing!
When the day finally came, we had our 4 cooks set, with only 3 meeting together and the other sent their meals ahead of time.
I ran around like a mad women cleaning the house, making the cinnamon buns, getting kids to school but after the dust had settled, we had a lovely morning of coffee, swapping mom war stories, cinnamon buns, and kids running all over the place!
Not bad for the first meet-up!

This was our menu!
E: Homemade beef stew with multi-coloured carrots
L: Mango Curry chicken drumsticks (uncooked)
J: Cranberry Chicken (uncooked)
K: Beef & corn, and cheeses elbow pasta bake in a foil baking tray

All were delicious!~I will post the recipes soon!
