April Dinner Exchange 2011

April has been flying by with it's sunny weather and hope of warmer temperatures.   We have been spending a lot of time outdoors so we are all exhausted by the end of the day.
I brought out the kids bikes, maybe a little early, and almost caused a riot at the park with all the kids who wanted a turn.
It was a smaller turn-out at our last exchange as many of us felt a little overwhelmed by the change of the seasons.  With all of us having little ones, springtime means finding warmer clothes packed away for the winter, rain boots, mud, mud, mud, and new activities, throwing all our routines out the window.
Most of us made 4 meals, Winnie was the only brave one who made 8 meals and unfortunately had to bring a couple home to her own freezer since there weren't quite enough meals.   It wasn't so bad since she made something that she likes anyway!  Sorry, Winnie!
The kids all played well together, but we had to keep and eye on some of them who showed quite an interest in small lego pieces and other choke-able toys.
I even made the participants take some cheesy photos...check em out on the "Who are we?" page.  They were all good sports! :)
I really enjoyed and appreciated the meals this time around.  I was away for a couple of days so I saved some of the meals for my sweet husband. (He ate them and enjoyed them but I forgot to get him to take photos.) He still did pizza but at least not everyday!

Adrienne: Baked Ziti
Loni: Chinese Dumplings & Hot and Sour soup.
Winnie: Pork stew
Elizabeth: 2 smaller Meatloaves.
Mary: Apricot Chicken curry(very mild).
Keri: Penne with an Italian sausage sauce

Recipes will be up soon!  I want to put a picture up with every one, so this may take some time to post!
